I'm Carrie Brassley - yoga teacher and studio manager. I teach yoga in studios and work places across Bristol. I like to explore fun ways to move the body, balancing some of the more strengthening asanas (yoga postures) with the calm and stillness of pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation. My classes are light hearted, playful and calming; expect anything from flowing sequences to slow, restorative postures.

Expect flowing sequences that re-energise and invigorate you. Moving mindfully with the breath. There will be opportunities to build up to some more strengthening poses as well as a chance to slow down, reconnect and rest. You can book via Trika’s website or MoveGB. ABOUT CARRIE I am the Studio Manager at the Central Bristol Yoga Studio: Elevate. I also teach power, vinyasa, meditation and family yoga classes across Bristol. I was first introduced to yoga by a friend. Back then I was a long distance runner, and loved how meditative running was, but I could barely touch my toes. Feeling the need to be a bit more flexible, I turned to yoga. Loving how I felt afterwards, I kept going, and my stressed mind and body finally started to relax in savasana (relaxation at the end of class). The combination of movement and rest created a sense of calm in my mind that I had never experienced before. I have now been practicing yoga regularly for over 12 years. After spending most of my working life in the charity sector, I decided to take the plunge and do a yoga teacher training. Initially interested in movement and relaxation, the training opened my eyes to the wonder that is yogic philosophy. I now weave this into my classes where I can, hoping that others can be helped by this wise, ancient practice.
